Terms of Service
The terms governing use of Twotic, its API gateway and its credit system.
Last updated Aug 10, 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or calling the Twotic gateway you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it. The service is operated by Twotic.
2. Accounts
You need an account to obtain an API key. You are responsible for everything done with your keys, including calls made by anyone you share them with. Keys are shown once and stored only as hashes — we cannot recover a lost key, and you should rotate immediately if one is exposed.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.
3. Credit and charges
Credit is prepaid. Each API call debits your balance at the rate published on that API's page at the time of the call. Prices may change with 30 days notice.
Because credit is prepaid, you cannot incur a debt to us. When your balance is insufficient, calls are refused rather than accruing a bill.
Credit is non-refundable. It does not expire, and it is spendable on anything in the catalogue, but it cannot be exchanged back for money. See the credit policy.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to:
- break any applicable law, or infringe anyone's rights;
- attempt to bypass the gateway's authentication, metering or rate limiting;
- resell raw access to our APIs as your own competing API product;
- probe, scan or load-test infrastructure you do not control;
- send data you are not permitted to transmit, including personal data you lack a lawful basis to process;
- submit URLs or content designed to make our service attack a third party.
We may suspend an account that breaches this section. Where the breach is not deliberate we will contact you first.
5. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not offer a formal SLA at this tier. Calls that fail on our side are not charged.
6. Changes to the catalogue
APIs may be added, revised or deprecated. Where an API is withdrawn we will give at least 30 days notice to accounts actively calling it, and unused credit remains spendable on anything else in the catalogue.
7. Intellectual property
We own the platform, the APIs, the documentation and the marks. Your data stays yours; we claim no rights in the content you send through an API.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or data.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may terminate for material breach, or for any reason with 30 days notice.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
